New Year, New Adventures, Big Plans!

New Year, New Adventures, Big Plans!

2018? When did that happen? Am I ready? I plan to be…!

Creating and writing my plans is not a strong point! Ask anybody who has ever worked with me.

Now though, with a new school year starting, new products in the final stages of production, ongoing interior clients and the introduction of the first Alex Muir Australia boutique, I find that I need a plan – or at the very least a to do list!

Paper or electronic? Does it matter? I am a paper and pencil person. It drives my husband mad but it works for me. I think that is the point. Do what works for you. Listen to what others have to say but ultimately do what works for you. In all things. Life and career.

Don’t be afraid of being happy doing just that. It’s what makes the world such an interesting place.

I have a big busy year planned. I have a short to do list and virtually no other document to guide me on my merry way. That works for me and that’s OK

The one thing I have learnt over my journey is small steps lead to great things and so don’t try to achieve all your dreams in 3 months and don’t feel you have failed if it takes longer.

Don’t fear failure full stop. There is no such thing as failure – it is all about learning and adding to the toolbox that is called life experience!

Small wins can build great confidence when trying to achieve the so called impossible.

Pick the low hanging fruit, enjoy the sweetness and grab 2018 with both hands – that’s what I plan on doing!

Love

Alex
